It’s a round, orange fruit, original from the southtropicla regions of South America. Its skin is hard, with white and brown dots and it’s not eatable.
In the interior the fruit has great amount of seeds covered with a flavorful grey transparent pulp. It is the sweetest of the commercial passifloraceae, can be eaten by itself, as a dressing for fruits salads, or in juices and smoothies. The Granadilla is very refreshing and it is common to use it to initiate babies in the consumption of fruits.
The fruit is able to resist several days at room temperature without affecting its taste,  which makes it very appropriate for export.

It is delicious at any time and is an excellent mixed with watermelon, papaya and melon. When the fruit is consumed fresh the seeds can be eaten, they do not cause any harmful effect.  Grananilla should be stored in a fresh and well ventilated place
