Passion fruit is an exotic fruit of the passion fruit or passion fruit family that originated wildly in the Amazon region.

It weighs between 50 and 60 g, on average it measures between 5 and 6 cm in diameter. It has a resistant and thick rind, inedible, that changes according to the maturation: smooth when it is green and wrinkled when it is mature and delicious. The  Inside contains crunchy, edible and fiber-rich seeds. Its flavor is  sweet and sour combination that makes it very desirable throughout the world.


When buying passion fruit, the ripe fruit should be firm and heavy with wrinkled skin. 
If the skin is not very wrinkled, keep the fruit at room temperature avoiding drying or dehydration.
